Good morning!

After waking up with the sun shining on my face this morning, I have had a great start to today.  Crumpets and 2 serves of fruit for breakfast, I've put out a load of washing and have another load half done!  The weather has definitely had an impact on my energy levels, I am more motivated to get things done when the sun is pouring down on me.

We have had a slight change in our plans to move house and change jobs, both have been brought forward to July, but I am still giving myself until September to reach my goal measurements.  My dear friend Susie is getting married on the 24th, so I will probably fly back to Aus around the 17th and buy an outfit for the wedding there.  As it will be Spring in the south and the wedding will be at Lake Crackenback in Jindabyne I am thinking of a lovely dress and elegant wrap for the occasion.

Inspiring women

If you think you have seen the following post before on another blog, you'd be right.  I have decided to retire that blog but I have imported some posts which I feel are really relevant to this new blog.

So here are some women who I think are real, sexy, curvy and totally inspiring!

Beyonce Knowles 34-26-40

Martine McCutcheon 36-28-38

 Marylin Monroe 36-23-37

Lucy Lawless 36-25-36

Other curvy women:

Kate Richie (Sally on Home and Away) 40-26-37
Kate Winslet 36-29-38

The main point I have to keep in mind is the waist-hip ratio.

"A WHR of 0.7 for women and 0.9 for men have been shown to correlate strongly with general health and fertility."

So it doesn't matter that my proportions aren't exactly the same as any of these women, what matters is my WHR and how comfortable I am with my curves.

Magic Measure

This amazing little product is going to become my friend over the next six months!

These are the parts of the body I will be measuring every two weeks with the help of my hubby.

This is it

No, not a Michael Jackson concert.

My ultimatum to myself.  No more falling off the WW wagon and clambering aboard a year or two later.

This is my last chance.

I have battled PCOS and obesity since puberty, and I have suffered terribly for it.  My weight has fluctuated from size 12 up to 18, down to 14, up to 16, down to 12, and back to 16 again.  I'm not getting any younger, I'm 35 years old and want so much to be a mother, my ultimate goal is to have a beautiful child with my husband.

We have been trying to conceive (TTC) since September 2005.  In that time I have used an oral fertility treatment, which I conceived and miscarried twice while using.  Then I conceived twice naturally and miscarried both.  In that time, we were living a very stressful life trying to operate a business that ultimately failed.  Now we are living on the other side of the world trying to make a fresh start for ourselves, so what better time to make a fresh start on my health too?

I have decided that, rather than weigh myself once a week using bathroom scales, I will measure myself every two weeks with a fantastic little measuring tape I got from Rosemary Conley's website.

My starting measurements on 28th February were:

  • bust 43"/109.5cm
  • waist 38"/97cm
  • hips 47"/119cm
  • widest part 46"/117cm
  • left arm 13"/33cm
  • right arm 13"/33cm
  • left thigh 25"/63cm
  • right thigh 25"/63cm
  • left knee 17"/43cm
  • right knee 18"/45.5cm
